Take Care Of Your Hands

Just like your face, your hands need your attention. Everyone is talking about the importance of washing your hands because they’re exposed to all sorts of dirt, harsh substances etc. If you neglect your hands, the skin on your hands may end up needing medical help. In order to prevent that, here are a few simple tips that will help your hands be healthy and look younger.

1. Wash them with care.

Washing your hands is the best thing you can do to keep from spreading bacteria, viruses and other things. Rule number one when it comes to washing your hands is – Don’t use harsh soaps! Harsh soaps can damage your skin, and remove too much dead skin cells from the surface (and because the skin is made from layers, the dead skin cells layer protects the skin beneath).

2. Moisturize them.

Good moisturizers can help prevent or treat dry skin on your hands. Many people like to use some sort of water-based lotion, but that may not be the best choice. Lotions may make your hands feel great at first, but the water will evaporate quickly, drying your skin anew. On the other hand, creams are thicker and longer-lasting than lotions. Most creams are water-based, but people with extremely dry skin should use oil-based ones.

3. Protect your hands with gloves.

During various activities without protection gloves, you can cause can severe damage your skin. Try to make wearing gloves your daily routine. You might find wearing them uncomfortable at first, but you’ll soon get used to it.

4. Manicure your nails from time to time.

This doesn’t mean that you have to go to a beauty salon every Friday; it simply means that you should follow some simple rules like – Don’t bite your fingernails, don’t cut the cuticles, if your nails become discolored, stop using a nail polisher for a while etc. Keeping your nails fresh and clean will make your hands look better.

5. Take away the stress.

The modern era “disease” is stress. In some situations it is inevitable, but stress does lots of damage to our body and organism and it definitely doesn’t benefit your overall health. The key for a healthy-looking skin is less stress. It sounds simple, but it’s hard not to get nervous and upset in some situations. All you can do is try.
