Skincare Mistakes That Are Damaging Your Face

Most of us have our own everyday skincare routine. And we tend to stick to our habit. But, you may unintentionally damage your skin, if you’re making some of the following mistakes:

• Over exfoliating – This is highly damaging in the long term, it can cause damage of deep skin layers. With over exfoliating you are basically removing the protective barrier that your skin naturally has.

• Exfoliating away oily skin – People think that exfoliating with different scrubs will eliminate issues like oily skin. The fact is that over-scrubbed skin actually speeds up oil production because the skin’s natural repair mechanism is put into overdrive.

• Falling into bed with makeup on – This is the biggest mistake you can make. This very bad habit will clog your pores and oil glands through the night, turning into problems in the morning. The most usual problem is skin inflammation.

• Using dirty makeup brushes – Another “beauty” mistake followed by an advice – Always keep your makeup brushes clean. Women are not aware how much dirt one tiny makeup brush can catch. Old makeup buildup on the brush will affect your skin in long term.

• Not moisturizing oily skin – Although it sounds strange, oily skin also needs to be moisturized. It’s important to moisturize it on a daily basis and at night you should apply a heavier cream. Without moisturizes, oily skin will overcompensate the loss of hydration with producing every more oil, which can lead to breakouts and uneven skin texture.
